my spiritual awakening
This is my place of expression and reflection. I want to share with you my spiritual awakening, my experience of finding the path of a simple, spiritual and authentic life. So maybe you can find your own path.
About
me
When you make money, it’s very hard to go backward. Everything around you tries to keep you producing more and make you think that you shouldn’t get out of this hamster wheel.
At the age of 31, I started to ask myself a lots of questions : what is real ? What is true? What fulfills me ? What beautiful mark should I leave on this earth when I go ? How to get closer to a simple authentic life?
I realized, to be authentic, you need to let go the money system, and transmit to life what you deeply crave to transmit.
I left my jobs, travelled to India, and started this long road of finding myself. I want to share with you this spiritual awakening, so maybe it can inspire you to find and follow your own path.

How I started my spiritual Journey (and why)
Like many of us, I was deeply into money and success during my 20s. I opened several marketing agencies and even a marketing school. I thought marketing was fun and didn’t realize my career choice was only about money. I was not aligned with the goal of my days and the stress the clients were putting on my shoulders (because we are talking about money!) started to deeply overwhelm me. I turned 29 and started to burn out every 6 months. When I think about it today, I realize it was just a long burn out of 2 years that I tried to ignore to keep up with my lifestyle and money growth, success path. I was not allowed to give up this life I had hardly created.
When you make money, it’s very hard to go backward. The society, your lifestyle, (even your social media feed!) everything around you tries to keep you producing more and make you think that you shouldn’t get out of this hamster wheel.
When I turned 31, I was in a deep burn out. My level of stress was so high I could barely do anything. Not only I had so much work to keep up with, but I had debts ! Yes, this is the biggest trap : when you make a lot of money, you also owe a lots of money. The shower was very cold.
But thanks to this hard experience, I realized a very precious fact : Freedom is not about the money you make, but about the money you don’t spend. It's all about living simply.
At this moment, I started to crave nature and loneliness.
My body, my soul, everything in me was screaming for truth.
I needed to get closer to what is REAL in this life : nature, and energies / spirituality.
I needed to completely transform my life who has always been directed by money and parties.
All of this was fake. The entire life I was building was fake.
I realized the society pushes us to live this kind of life : produce more, spend more, intoxicate yourself more to forget this endless wheel.
I started to ask myself a lots of questions : what is real ? What is true ? What fulfills me ? What beautiful mark should I leave on this earth when I go ? How to get closer to a simple authentic life ?
I realized, to be authentic, you need to let go the money system, and transmit to life what you deeply crave to transmit.
I left my jobs, travelled to India, and started this long road of finding myself. I learned yoga.
This is my place of expression and reflection. I want to share with you my spiritual awakening so maybe it can inspire you to reflect about life with me. I don’t have the vanity to have more knowledge than anyone here, but I want to share with you my experience of finding the path of a simple, spiritual and authentic life. So maybe you can find your own path.
The life changing realization India thought me
When I first arrived in India, I am not going to lie, I felt uncomfortable. I didn’t want a normal taxi, so I took a Uber, thinking it’s maybe more “secure”. As soon we got out of the airport, I saw these HUGE buffaloes running in the street in the middle of the cars. Kids playing in the dirt at the same place. Slums in front of very elegant hotels and palaces. This “monkey God” (Hanuman) and “elephant God” (Ganesh) pictures and statues everywhere. I first thought “Am I on acid or something ?” with the sleepless night and the total impression to be in a complete other world, the cultural choc hit me straight in the face and it was quite violent. I will never forget my first arrival in India and I think I am not the only one.
You loose all stability. Like in a dream or a nightmare.
After a 30h trip, I finally arrived in Rishikesh. I was exhausted. In the Uber (who brought from Delhi to Rishikesh), I was wondering why I came and why I was doing this to myself. The tiredness made me think very dramatic yes 😅
But as soon I arrived near the Ganga river, I knew it was the place I belonged to for this moment of my life, this transition. I always follow my intuition, and again one time, my intuition guided me to the right place at the right time of my life.
The Ganga… It’s really something special about this river. In the Indian culture, it is a very holy river. It is part of the 7 mother’s you can find in Indian culture. They call it “Mother Ganga”. The river is the center of the city of Rishikesh. The current is always strong, and the water fresh, even under 40 degrees in the city. Rishikesh is only 300km from the Himalayan source of the river, no matter it is fresh (and pretty clean for those wondering).
The vibes along Mother Ganga are peaceful. You will find a bunch of mini temples with gifts for the gods, incense, flowers… even some fruits and banana’s if you arrive before the monkeys 😅
A lot of people are meditating or practicing yoga around this river. The vibe is amazing. I felt at peace as soon I approached it. And this feeling never left me for all my trip.
As you know, I went to India to learn yoga and become a yoga teacher. But what I learned there is much bigger than simple yoga asana’s (postures). I discovered a total new lifestyle. New rules. A new way to think and live my life. My teachers were amazing, but what I learned comes from the Indian culture in general, and the Indian’s I got to speak with along my trip.
I didn’t get the most important and life changing knowledge from India in a conversation, but by a feeling. In Rishikesh I felt at peace, even though I was broke. I felt fulfilled, even though I was not working. My heart felt complete, and the feeling of being bored, loneliness and emptiness I can sometimes feel in western cities, completely left me.
Of course, traveling brings you new excitement and has a role to play in the feeling of fulfillment. But mostly, I found all a society who values spirituality and nature more than anything else. An all city where people meditate in their free time, outdoors. Where the goal of each person is not to be richer than their neighbour but to reach their higher selves. I found a complete new way of living that seems more true to me. I found the way of building an authentic life.
Today I am back in Europe, and I want to pursue this goal. For this, I know I need to value the energies around me and into me on a daily basis. I need to meditate daily. Practice yoga daily. And hang out in nature, in the middle of trees, walk in the grass barefoot. Surround myself with people who have the same goals and interests. Nature and spirituality are the only way to reach your true and higher self.
What Yoga Teacher Training in INDIA really is like
I was myself looking at all kind of vlogs about india before flying away for my Yoga Teacher Training. First, I am documenting my journey for myself. I want to be able to come back to the feelings and inner transformation I had in India, whenever I want in my life.
The Yoga Teacher Training in India was probably the best choice I ever did in my life. Since, I feel at peace with myself. I found myself and my authenticity. I don't have anything to prove to anyone anymore.
It's crazy how it can be difficult to grow up in a capitalistic individualistic world. We all normalized being selfish today. We live completly disconnected from nature and spirituality. It's probably the reason why so many people feel a void inside of them that they try to fill with different kind of things, sometimes in a toxic way. We forgot the importance of feeling at peace.
Reconnecting to our spirituality, the nature, our nature, will allow us to find peace and connect with our inner self.
That's what I found in India.
I hope you will enjoy the trip.

How to cultivate and protect your inner peace
It’s very difficult to find inner peace in our western life. We are treated like production machines and our self care is not so valued. It’s probably the cause of so many diseases with burnout on the top of the list. Everybody has the capacity to find inner peace, it’s within us. You need to focus on the inside.
In this article I want to talk about how to cultivate and protect your inner peace. I found my inner peace few months ago, and for me it’s probably the most life changing thing that happened in the last 31 years of my life. I realize today almost my entire life, (since a teenager) I have been under pressure without even knowing it. Social pressure, relationship pressure, work pressure, society pressure. I always carried with me this feeling of deep anxiety, insecurity. It’s like I was searching for myself all this time and finally found my true authenticity.
Since, I have nothing to prove, I am myself, and simply happy to bring my energy through this world.
Your inner peace is a sacred diamond shining inside of you. It’s there, you have nothing to do, just uncover the layers (social mask) to let it shine deeply and purely.
Here are few habits who will help you cultivate inner peace.
The first step to reach your inner peace it’ to enjoy your time alone. It’s only when you can truly listen to yourself, have a conversation with your inner self that you will be able to find peace.
The energy around you is the most important thing in your life. Your energy will connect to the energy around you, it’s no limit. Cultivating inner peace is cultivating good vibes. Be careful about the people who surround you. Sometimes you need to get a little selfish to protect yourself. It’s okay to cut bridges with people who are toxic or who don’t bring you positivity. Because your inner peace is more important than anything.
What you do in your everyday life will define your … life. It’s your everyday habits who will set your day, your mood, your vibes. We will never say it enough, starting the day with a powerful and positive routine is a game changing attitude for life. Wake up for the sunrise, breath fresh air, go for a jog, practice yoga, detox with lemon and warm water, read, write, learn a new skill, a new language. Those hours are the most precious and will set the tone of your days, of your life.
Finding your inner peace is finding your authenticity. To find truth, you need to connect with truth. And what is more true than nature in this world ? Nature is energy. Connect with nature often. Go for a walk in the woods. Hang out in parks to read. Walk barefoot in the grass. Take your time and make time for it. Nature is the most resourcing daily habit you can add in your life.
Meditation is a big word, who can seem scary. But everybody practices meditation today. Most of people don’t know it. It’s million of ways to practice meditation. Being aware of the moment, taking a deep breath. Meditation is the best way to connect to your inner self and cultivate your inner peace. It’s introspection. Be aware of your inner self, it’s your safe space in life. You can connect to your inner self at any time in your life. When you feel lost, just close your eyes, take a deep breath and enter in this peaceful inner garden.
How to keep up with the good habits
The road into spiritual awakening is not linear. In this video, I bring you into my routine to keep up with good habits, even if, I admit, it's sometimes really difficult. I give you tips and routines who can pull you up in a daily basis. But I also clear up the truth about fighting against your dark side. The key is consistency.
Do you also have a dark side you are fighting with ?
